Today, Mama actually let me in Isabella’s room to wake her up. I licked her face until she responded, then we got up. I was all ready for my walk, but it never happened! Then Mom, Dad, and Isabella all left. Smoky and I watched through secret cameras she had set up, as they went to the nature center. Isabella brought them some sugar cookies they had picked up at a bakery, and then she met up with the others and they misted everyone’s habitats. Then she fed the 2 box turtles, Bonnie and Pancake, who were both eating rather slowly!

Then she fed the amphibians (Spot the salamander, Wart the toad, and Marble and Chalk the grey tree frogs) their crickets and worms. Then she brought Sandalfoot the garter snake out to play in a makeshift ball pit made from pom-poms in a container.

Then she brought Kernel the corn snake out to climb on the snakes’ climbing wall.

Then she cleaned out their enclosures while they were playing. Then she brought them back to their homes. Then she watched as Leona the Leopard Gecko played in her maze made from a cardboard box.

Finally, she took each habitat’s temperature and recorded it. She finally came home, which was a relief. I don’t need any more rivals–I already have to deal with Smoky!
