Breakfast With the Birds (Nature Center #4)

Yesterday, the humans left the house without me for the 1st time in several weeks. I asked Smoky to track them on her drone that was disguised as a fly. They arrived at the nature center! They went into a room with a window overlooking a bunch of bird feeders and ate pastries while birdwatching with a bunch of others who were also there for that event.

Then Isabella changed everyone’s water bowls and turned their substrate. Wart the toad had a green rubber duck in his water bowl, which was taken out, washed, dusted with cinnamon for scent, and given to Surge the crested gecko to play with.

Kernel the corn snake was getting a lot of attention, with both guests and Isabella petting him.

Then Sandalfoot also wanted attention–he kept looking at everyone through the door and making the face he always makes when he wants to be noticed.

Oh please…

Then she gave them a shadowbox she had made with an image of every animal they had. After that, she came home. Personally, I was glad when she no longer smelled like reptiles. It’s never good when your human smells like an animal that’s not you.
